My girlfriend messaged me after watching my latest video this week, “you look so confident in this video. No umms and uhs…”
I realized the same over the last few days.
I have got much comfortable with the camera and I even need to take fewer takes.
Never followed any scripts for my videos. I just collect pointers and start recording.
It takes me 45-60 minutes to record, edit and publish 1 video right now.
Results?
1] I am not a professional video creator for sure but if I see the applications that I get on our job portal, I can confidently say that I am better than most of the candidates.
2] If I am in a small group of 3-4 people, I can totally avoid the awkward silences
3] I can strike a conversation with almost anyone and can maintain a super engaging conversation – businessman, politician, farmer, watchman, plumber… Almost anyone!
I feel quite comfortable now.
All credits to my video creation journey.
How did this happen?
I was not at all like this.
I am an introvert. I still avoid humans.
I can’t even express myself in front of my family or people that I meet everyday.
Even now!
It’s just beyond my comfort zone.
But I can’t live with this weakness in my professional setup.
I need to interact with clients, vendors, team members, students, job applicants and so on.
In fact, speaking with confidence and clarity is a life skill.

To overcome this, I keep practicing my teaching skills on YouTube.
My channels are barely known to anyone.
I still have no strategy or plans for these channels. These are my experimentation playgrounds.
As long as I am enjoying the process, I am going to do it.

The objective has always been clear – to start expressing myself with clarity.
This needs consistent polishing just like any other skill.
ACTION ITEMS
Step 1: Create a new YouTube channel without your name.
Step 2: Pick up your camera and start recording. Start with a minimum 2 minutes and express your opinions for as long as you can. Everyday.
Step 3: Repeat this for 30 days. I did the same in the past and the results were quite good.

WHAT I DID THIS WEEK
I had to make some financial movements to plan my taxes better! Finally done this week.
Published 1 social post and 1 video this week. Video was about – Blinkit vs Zepto vs InstaMart vs BBNow.
I miss reading my books. Let’s see if I can restart that. Took a good break of a month or so.
It was my sister’s birthday. I always love whenever it’s time to celebrate with family 😀
I met my college friends on Saturday. One of them got married 2 months back.
Then I visited my uncle who went through some health issues. He’s fine now.
As we grow, it’s interesting to see a fresh perspective of life.
Everyone around us starts aging and getting weak. Friends start settling with new chapters of their life. Everything seems to be changing rapidly from all directions.
Sometimes it’s good. Sometimes it’s bad. It’s just a part of the journey and we often need to accept things as they are. This realization hits hard!
